NASCAR fans know David Ragan as a famous driver, but in Perry, he's a hometown boy with his own Ford dealership run by his family.

At David Ragan Ford, hundreds gathered for a chance to see the NASCAR driver and his racecar for "David Ragan Fan Appreciation Day" while he's back in town to race at the Atlanta Motor Speedway this Sunday.

One family from Florida says they're die-hard Ragan fans.  So they stopped in Perry on their way up I-75 from their home near Daytona to Ohio.  Their daughter, Angie is disabled and can't speak but began watching Ragan on TV and points at his name when the scores come up.

Ragan's brother, Adam, has Down syndrome and works at the family dealership.  The two brothers appeared together at a table where fans were lined up to sign autographs.

Ragan said he says high hopes for the race this weekend and also said he's happy to host an event in Middle Georgia where he grew up and has many fans.
