Memphis, TN (Sports Network) - Reserve Marreese Speights led five Memphis
players in double figures with 18 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as the
Grizzlies topped the Toronto Raptors, 103-82, behind a decisive third quarter.
Zach Randolph posted 17 points, 13 boards and six assists for the Grizzlies,
who improved to 11-2 on the young season. Marc Gasol also scored 17 points and
Mike Conley added 16 after missing one game with flu-like symptoms.
Clinging to a one-point halftime lead, Memphis shot 72.2 percent while
outscoring Toronto 33-14 in the third quarter. The Raptors were held to 23.5
percent shooting (4-of-17) during the frame.
DeMar DeRozan had 16 points to pace Toronto, which suffered its sixth straight
loss. Kyle Lowry and reserve Jose Calderon scored 12 points apiece.
