Georgia Tech men unified in win

While the Yellow Jackets prepare for Pittsburgh, they'll feed off momentum from this weekend.

Georgia Tech defeated Notre Dame at home on Saturday to prevent a three-game losing streak. Trae Golden lead the Jackets with 20 points. Daniel Miller added a double double (10 pts, 13 boards), on the way to a 74-69 win over the Irish.

Before Saturday, the Jackets lost two in a row, struggling to replace leading rebounder, Robert Carter Jr. The sophomore will likely miss the rest of the season with a knee injury.

Coach Brian Gregory said it would take a whole team effort to knock off the Irish.

"We need that with Robert not playing, obviously Travis [Jorgensen] being out for a long time [with an ACL injury], we need everybody during these last 15 games to play their best basketball this season and to keep getting better."

Tech will certainly need its best basketball against Pittsburgh on Tuesday,

The panthers only loss this season was by one point, to Cincinnati.
