Mercer's men have a few days off after Monday's win over Alcorn State.
The Bears started off rusty, following a nine-day break for final exams, but exploded in the second half for a 70-44 victory. The orange and black now have five days to prepare for a big road trip to Ole Miss. After last night's game, Coach Bob Hoffman said rebounding will be key against the Rebels.
"They're going to take a lot of shots. There's going to be a lot of long bounces because [Marshall] Henderson's gonna take a lot of long threes. They got big guys that can rebound at a high level. So we're going to have to do a good job on the glass," Hoffman said.
Ole Miss guard Marshall Henderson has attempted 90 three pointers in eight games. That's more than anyone else in the SEC.
The Bears and Rebels tip off Sunday, December 22, at 4 pm in Oxford, Mississippi.
