Fresno, CA (Sports Network) - Andre Roberson recorded a monster double-double
with 17 points and 20 rebounds to pace the Colorado Buffaloes in their 50-43
victory over the Fresno State Bulldogs at the Save Mart Center.
Askia Booker netted 14 points for Colorado (8-2), which picked it ups first
true road victory of the season. Josh Scott tallied 11 points and eight boards
in the win.
Kevin Foster led Fresno State (5-5) with eight points and eight rebounds. Nine
different Bulldogs played 11 minutes or more, but the starting five was held
to 27.3 percent shooting from the field.
The Buffaloes outscored the hosts, 16-4, in the paint in the opening period to
help build a 27-17 lead heading into the intermission. Fresno State shot just
25 percent from the floor in the first half.
The Bulldogs opened up the second period on a 13-2 run to take the lead with
12:15 remaining, but Josh Scott drained a pair of free throws on the visitors'
next possession to put Colorado back on top for good. The Buffaloes converted
8-of-12 at the charity stripe in the final 20 minutes to arrive at their
Colorado hit 41.9 percent of its field goal attempts, but made only 12-of-21
at the charity stripe. Fresno State connected on just 29.6 percent of its
attempts from the floor including 4-of-18 from three-point range.
