Grand Forks, ND (Sports Network) - Jamal Webb scored a career-high 23 points
as North Dakota defeated the Montana State Bobcats, 86-73, in Big Sky
Conference action at the Sioux Center.
Webb was a perfect 5-of-5 from long range and handed out seven assists for
North Dakota (5-10, 2-4 Big Sky) in the victory. Troy Huff was one rebound shy
of a double-double, scoring 20 points, Aaron Anderson also scored 20 points
and Josh Schuler tallied 10 as North Dakota snapped a two-game losing streak.
For the Bobcats (6-8, 3-3), Christian Moon recorded a team-high 21 points,
Paul Egwuonwu logged 16, while Marcus Colbert accounted for 11 points,
seven rebounds and five assists as Montana State had a four-game win streak
come to an end.
North Dakota shot an impressive 8-of-14 from beyond the arc, while limiting
the visitors to a mere 9-of-28 from the floor in the first half, en route to a
42-33 advantage at the break.
North Dakota made 16-of-20 at the free-throw line and 59.1 percent from the
floor, while holding the Bobcats to just 5-of-15 from long range in the
second half.
In addition to connecting on 52.8 percent from the floor for the day, the
hosts also converted an impressive 10-of-19 beyond the arc as well.
