NCAA Game Summary - UMKC at South Dakota

Vermillion, SD (Sports Network) - Estan Tyler scored 25 points off the bench as the UMKC Kangaroos toppled the South Dakota Coyotes, 90-86, in a Summit League battle at the DakotaDome.

Thomas Staton added 19 points off the Bench, Kirk Korver notched 15 and Fred Chatmon had 10 more for UMKC (5-13, 2-4 Summit) which ended a nine-game losing streak.

Juevol Myles scored 24 points, Brandon Bos added 19, Trevor Gruis had 14 and Karim Rowson chipped in 12 for South Dakota (7-11, 3-3).

It was the Coyotes that led, 41-37, at halftime after shooting an even 50 percent from the field including 5-of-9 from beyond the arc. UMKC fell behind by shooting 45.2 percent and 6-of-14 from 3-point range.

UMKC took a 69-67 lead with 9:01 remaining in the second half and would not trail the rest of the way. The Kangaroos shot an incredible 82.6 percent from the floor in the final 20 minutes including 7-of-10 from beyond the arc. The Coyotes also shot well (.565) but it wasn't enough to keep up with the Kangaroos.

UMKC had a 28-20 edge in rebounds and outscored the Coyotes 14-4 in second chance points .
