Wilmington, NC (Sports Network) - Keith Rendleman recorded a double-double
with 23 points and 11 rebounds for the UNC-Wilmington Seahawks who earned the
upset win over the Northeastern Huskies, 73-67, in a Colonial Athletic
Association matchup at Trask Coliseum.
Rendleman was 7-of-11 from the field and 8-of-10 at the free-throw line,
adding four steals for the Seahawks (10-16, 5-9 CAA) who claimed a big win
over the top team in the conference. Cedrick Williams just missed a double-
double of his own with 12 points and nine rebounds as UNCW snapped a two-game
slide. Chris Dixon accounted for nine points and a game-high nine assists.
The Huskies (17-10, 12-3) were led by Quincy Ford who tallied 23 points and
nine rebounds. Jonathan Lee added 13 points and five steals as Northeastern
suffered its second consecutive loss.
UNCW led 31-28 at halftime after shooting 48.1 percent from the field and
holding the Huskies under 40.0 percent from the floor.
In the second half the Seahawks shot 56.5 percent from the floor and also
outscored NU at the free-throw line, 15-5.
In a game that featured five ties and 15 lead changes, the hosts held a 16-8
scoring advantage over the Huskies at the charity stripe.
