Nebraska takes delay of game on first 4th down to honor late punter

Nebraska punter Sam Foltz was killed in a single car traffic accident on July 23. He was 22-years-old. Former Michigan State punter Mike Sadler was also killed in the accident.

The Cornhuskers honored Foltz during their first game of the season on Saturday. They didn't send out a punter for the first fourth down.

Prior to the game, Nebraska selected two "Sam Foltz captains" in memory of Foltz.

Right before the game, in the huddle, the team declared, "We play for each other and we play for Foltz."

They also wore "SF 27" decals on their helmets.
