Calgary, AB (Sports Network) - Lee Stempniak scored the go-ahead goal as the
Calgary Flames used a huge third period to take a 5-2 win over the Detroit Red
Wings on Wednesday.
Stempniak and Curtis Glencross each posted a goal and an assist, while Jay
Bouwmeester, Blake Comeau and Alex Tanguay all scored for the Flames, who
snapped a three-game slide. Miikka Kiprusoff posted 36 saves in the win.
Valtteri Filppula and Niklas Kronwall each had a goal for the Red Wings, who
are on a three-game slide. Jonas Gustavsson gave up all five goals on just 22
shots in the loss.
