Fishing Tip: Fish shallow for crappie during spring

Bassmaster veteran Tom Hamlin says he reeled in a ton of crappie on Lake Sinclair Wednesday, which brought him to this week's tip.

Hamlin says because of the lingering cold weather the fish have put off the spawn and are still pretty shallow.

Tom used a small jig with a cork and jerked it through the water. He says don't go deeper than two or three feet and of course look for structure like fallen trees near the bank.
