Don Richardson gave his all to Southwest High; now, they're giving back.
Don Richardson was a five time state championship coach at Southwest High school in Macon before passing last September after complications from a stroke.
But the legacy of the Central Georgia basketball legend continues to grow in his memory as fellow coaches and former players pick up where he left off.
Since the the mid 1970s, Coach "Duck" has held a baseketball skills camp for local kids as a way of giving back to the community.
This year in his absence, the camp continues as a tribute to Richardson and what he means to Patriot nation and its not all about hoops.
If you want to attend this week long camp, there are still slots available. The cost is $50 per child. Ages 8-18 and camp tip off is at 9am everyday this week. For more information, call 478- 256-2370
