At FPD Thursday morning, senior Daniel Strawn inked a deal for a tennis scholarship at Clemson University.
Strawn is currently ranked fourth in the state as a singles player and 30th in the Southeast.
The senior home-schooled for two of his high school years, so he could concentrate on the sport and travel to tournaments.
Strawn says he has some natural talent, but the Clemson coach says he will have to work hard to make it in the division one ranks.
"The coach saw a lot of growth in my game which in tennis comes in handy," Strawn said, "I'm not very big right now, so I can work on that maybe grow another inch and have my game develop because right now it's not where it could be in a few years."
