Carson, CA (Sports Network) - The Los Angeles Galaxy activated defender Omar Gonzalez from the disabled list on Tuesday.

Gonzalez, the 2011 MLS Defender of the Year, has been out since tearing his ACL in January. Gonzalez is eligible to play Wednesday when L.A. hosts the Philadelphia Union.

In his fourth season with L.A., the 23-year-old Gonzalez was named MLS Rookie of the Year in 2009, and is a two-time MLS All-Star First XI and MLS Best XI selection.
