Robotics teams from across Georgia put their skills to the test Saturday at the Museum of Aviation in Warner Robins.

Students ages 9-14 competed in a Lego Robotics Competition.

The eventwas hosted by an international program called The F.I.R.S.T. (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Lego League.

This year's theme was food factor.

Students focused on team building, creativity, and problem solving skills by using Lego Mindstorm kits.

Teams had 8 weeks to finish the project.

"It's good to see students spending much more than just a day to meet challenges, to have fun, and also to learn," said Wesley Fondal, Director of STARBASE Robins.

Winners will advance to the state competition, which will be held at Georgia Tech later this month.
