ATLANTA (WXIA) -- When the O'Neill family won a new Wii system through an 11Alive Weather Facebook contest, they decided to donate it to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite.
Riley O'Neill, 5, was on board from the beginning.
"This one is for all the kids," he said as 11Alive's Jennifer Leslie presented him with the still unopened box on Monday.
Riley was a patient at Scottish Rite last year after he broke his leg and required a full body cast.
"We remember they brought this cart in filled with toys, and it made his day," said Kim O'Neill, Riley's mother. "He was so happy. It brought him to life."
Riley took his new Wii to The Zone at Scottish Rite, a therapeutic activity center that sees up to 700 patients every month.
"We definitely have some systems that need updating," said The Zone's Juliet Veal. "It's going to be a perfect donation. Riley was really sweet to think about us."
Riley has his own Wii at home, so he wanted other kids to enjoy his prize.
"He loves giving back, being kind, being generous," said Kim O'Neill. "He was excited because he knew this would make the kids so happy."
"If they play with it, they'll have lots of fun," Riley added.
