Former President Jimmy Carter says he's proud of the role his grandson played in uncovering Mitt Romney's "47 percent" tape.

13WMAZ's Randall Savagecaught up with Carter after the Nobel laureate was installed as a Trustee at Mercer University.

Carter called his grandson "a master at researching in the intricate mechanisms of Internet and all its aspects."

His grandson,James Carter IV, first found a clip from the Romney fundraiser on YouTube and contacted the video's owner who he convinced to turn over all the footage to Mother Jones magazine.

Carter also told 13WMAZ that his grandson was born in the White House in the first month of his administration and spent his first four years of life there.
