Poughkeepsie, NY (Sports Network) - Behind a season-high 25 points from Harold Washington, the Canisius Golden Griffins took down the Marist Red Foxes, 94-82, in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference bout at McCann Arena.

Washington shot 6-of-11 from three-point range for Canisius (6-1, 2-0 MAAC), which has already surpassed its win total from the entire 2011-12 season. Billy Baron tallied 16 points, 11 assists, and eight rebounds, Alshwan Hymes scored 13 points, and Isaac Sosa netted 11 points. Chris Manhertz logged eight points and career-high 18 rebounds.

For Marist (3-6, 1-1), Devin Price put up 25 points on 8-of-16 from the floor, while Adam Kemp tallied a double-double with 10 points and 10 boards. Chavaughn Lewis had 18 points, and Jay Bowie chipped in 14 points for the Red Foxes, who have lost three of four.

Canisius made just 36.8 percent of its field goal attempts in the first half, but it was 8-of-18 from three-point range and it took a comfortable 43-26 lead into intermission.

After shooting 36 percent from the floor in the first half, Marist improved to 47.4 percent after halftime, but it never got closer than eight points of the lead.

The Griffins shot a lofty 17-of-36 (.472) from beyond the arc on the afternoon.
