Members of Warner Robins City Council met for the last time before the end of the year, and grandfathered in several businesses who didn't meet the location standards for the city's new machine gaming ordinance.

These businesses were either too close to a school or church than the new ordinance allows, but council made an exception.

"We changed the yardage between the churches and schools and it was where they could not get their license this year. We prefer not to put people out of business you know that's not what we intended to do." explained Council woman Carolyn Robbins.

There are certain stipulations those businesses must meet... They can't change ownership or change the person holding the license.
All gaming machines must stay the same and the business can't be found in violation of state laws.

Council also honoredmembers of the International City's Little League team five years after the boys won the world championship.

And they added a new bereavement policy, allowing city employees three days off without using sick days if someone in their immediate family passes.
