As more details are learned about Adam Lanza, the young man accused in the Newtown shooting, we've heard reports that he lived with Asperger's Syndrome.

That's a disorder that falls in the spectrum of autism, but may have been slightly lesser known until now.

Michael Buckholtz, the founder and director of the Aid for Autistic Children Foundation of Central Georgia, spoke with 13WMAZ's Frank Malloy about the characteristics and misconceptions of Asperger's Syndrome.

Buckholtz emphasized that a tendency for violence is most definitely not a characteristic of diseases in the Autism spectrum.
