ATLANTA -- Atlanta Police have identified the body found in a parking lot on Christmas Eve as that of 18-year-old Joshua Ciscero Watson.
Dispatchers received an injury call at around 11:55 p.m. Monday, according to Atlanta Police spokeswoman Kim Jones. When investigators arrived at the scene, they found Watson dead from an apparent gunshot wound to the head.
Jones said Watson's body was discovered in the parking lot of Lakewood Discount Beauty Supply and Furniture on Lakewood Avenue, about a mile from the victim's home.
Watson had been heading home from his job at the Atlanta airport when he was robbed and killed, according to police.
The victim was a recent high school graduate and was putting together a portfolio in hopes of being accepted to art school.
Jones said no arrests have been made and no suspects have been named so far.
