Andrew Cook, the man convicted of killing two Mercer University students in 1995, will have a hearing with the state parole board two days before his scheduled execution date.
According to a news release, the parole board will hear arguments from Cook supporters pushing for him to receive clemency.
That will be Tuesday, Feb. 19 at 9 a.m.
On March 19, 1998, Cook was convicted of the 1995 shooting deaths of Grant Patrick Hendrickson and Michele Lee Cartagena at Lake Juliette in Monroe County.
He was sentenced to death for Cartagena's murder.
Cook is scheduled to die by lethal injection on February 21 at 7 p.m. in Jackson.
