Bibb County District Attorney David Cooke says it will take him two to three weeks to review the GBI's case file on the death of Sammie Davis Jr.

Cooke held a news conference today to say the GBI has completed their investigation on the fatal shooting outside a Macon supermarket by a police officer

The GBI has turned their case fileover toCooke.

Police say Officer Clayton Sutton shot and killed Sammie Davis Jr. outside the Pio Nono Avenue Kroger on Dec. 21.

Sutton has been on administrative leave ever since, standard procedure when an officer is involved in a shooting.

Cooke will decide if any crime was committed.

Today,Cooke said he does not expect to make a decision on the case forat least two orthree weeks, after a "thorough and accurate review" of the file.

Cooke today said,"We will not be rushed. We want to do this right."

He says the GBI investigation was delayed because they ran many lab tests; one was not released until today.

He said, "We know this is an important case to the community."

Cooke would not comment on the GBI's findings or what's in the case file. Hedid say it contains "multiple" videos connected to the case, as well a multiple interviews with witnesses. He says the report totaled around 100 pages on documents.
