San Diego, CA (Sports Network) - Cole Dickerson scored a game-high 24 points and pulled down 12 rebounds, as the San Francisco Dons defeated the San Diego Toreros, 83-70. in a West Coast Conference clash at Jenny Craig Pavilion.
Tollefsen added 19 points for the Dons (14-15, 7-9 WCC), Cody Doolin scored 16 points and De'End Parker chipped in with 11 points, as San Francisco won its third-straight contest.
For the Toreros (13-17, 6-9), Ken Rancifer led the way with 17 points, Johnny Dee and Cameron Miles each finished with 15 points and Chris Manresa posted a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds, as San Diego its fifth straight.
San Francisco jumped out to a big lead at halftime, 52-35, by knocking down 67.9 percent of its field goal tries in the first half, including 7-of-12 from beyond the 3-point arc. The Dons opened the game with a 21-4 run to set the tone early. San Diego shot 46.7 percent from the field and 5-of-11 from 3- point range before intermission.
In the second half, the Dons continued to shoot the ball well, hitting on 50 percent from the floor. The Toreros shot 44.8 percent from the field in the half. San Diego got as close as nine midway through the period but never closer, as the Dons coasted to the easy victory.
The Dons outscored the Toreros in the paint, 38-32, and had a 29-28 edge in rebounding.
