MACON, Ga. - In a record-breaking victory, the Mercer University men's basketball team advances to the semifinal round of the Atlantic Sun Championship tournament, defeating Lipscomb University 82-48.

The win was the largest margin of victory in the tournament in program history.

Mercer junior Langston Hall, a Second-Team All-Conference player, led the Bears with a double-double effort, scoring 12 points and dishing out 10 assists.

Monty Brown chipped in 11 points and Travis Smith added another 10 for Mercer, which improved to 22-10 on the season and 14-4 in the conference.

Lipscomb's Deonte Alexander scored a game high 15 points.

Mercer plays again on Friday at 5:30 p.m. They will face the winner of Thursday's game between four-seed Jacksonville and five-seed USC-Upstate.

The Bears are now 14-0 at home in Hawkins Arena this season with an overall 16-game winning streak. It's the seventh longest home-winning streak in the nation, according to a Mercer news release.
