A Houston County business owner says someone attacked him outside his home Thursday night and robbed him.
The sheriff's department says it happened around 11:30 p.m. Thursday on the 200 block of Bergermont Court.
Ghanshyam Patel says he was coming home after closing Freedom Fuels on Watson Boulevard.
He said a robber was hiding in the bushes outside his home, ran at him with a handgun and demanded money.
Patel told police that they struggled, and the man struck him on the head with the gun. Then he took his money and ran off.
The businessman suffered minor injuries.
The sheriff's department gave this of the robber: He is 17 to 21 years old, about 5-foot-10 to 6 feet tall and 170lbs to 180lbs. He was wearing a black beanie cap, black jacket, and black pants.
The weapon was described as a small black handgun.
