Forty of the best high school senior basketball players met up at the Macon State College gym for the 2013 Middle Georgia All-Star Classic Saturday night.

The girls took the floor first. West Laurens head coach Brian Howell led the East girls. Shelia Tooms of Central was in charge of the West girls.

West led at the half and went on to win, 72-44. Aleah Holden of Mary Persons High School had 18 points and was named MVP.

The boys and girls warmed up for the three-point contest next. Westside's Alexis Robinson was the girls champion. Jarius Smith of Northside won the boys contest. Smith was also the slam dunk champion.

Warner Robins head coach Jamal Garman led the East boys against Crawford County's Clyde Zachery and the West.

The West won 83 to 79. Central's Quintavis Virgil was named MVP after recording 28 points.
