Macon police officers blocked off part of Poplar Street near Second Street early Sunday morning.

In a press release, Macon Police said, at 2:37a.m.,a black male approached two other black men walking to their vehicle when an confrontation between them occurred.

A second suspect fired at the two men after receiving a handgun from the first suspect. One man was struck in the foot, the other in the leg. A third person was involved but was uninjured, the release said, butsome of the shots firedstruck the car he drove.

Macon Police are looking for Kendall Sherrod Williams, Sr. in connection with this case and asks for the public's help in locating him and the other suspect. If you have any information on this incident, please call the Macon Police Departmentat 478-751-7500 or Crimestoppers at 1-877-68-CRIME.

Officers on the scenesaid that the shooting happened at Grant's Lounge, 576 Poplar St. But club owner Ed Grant says police told him the shooting happened on the 600 block of Poplar and he's not aware of any connection to his club.
