Orchard Park, NY (Sports Network) - The Buffalo Bills have signed running back Tashard Choice to an undisclosed contract extension.
Choice will enter his second full season in Buffalo after joining the Bills as a waiver claim in November 2011. He appeared in 12 games last season and rushed for 193 yards with a touchdown while adding four catches for nine yards.
The 28-year-old Georgia Tech product was chosen by Dallas in the fourth round of the 2008 draft and remained with the Cowboys into the 2011 season. He played 54 games with the Cowboys, including six in 2011 before being waived in October. Washington claimed him and he played one game for the Redskins before being waived again.
In 73 NFL games, four of which have been starts, Choice has run for 1,409 yards and 10 touchdowns with 76 receptions for 559 yards.
The Bills also announced that tight end Dorin Dickerson has signed his contract tender, terms of which were not disclosed. Dickerson caught nine passes for 117 yards in 11 games with Buffalo last season.
