Former educators Laura Perkins and Esterine Stokes will hold the first of at least two community forumsTuesday evening.

Last month Perkins told 13WMAZ, if approved, the Academy for Classical Education (ACE) will serve the children and families of Bibb County through "viable educational opportunity for parents, students, and teachers outside of the current traditional public/private venue."

"In order for ACE to be approved as a charter school, community need, interest, and input must be demonstrated," Stokes said in a press release.

The two founderssay,ACE is scheduled to open in the Fall of 2014 for students in grades 6-8 and will expand year by year to include high school students.

No permanent location has been selected to house the charter school.

The forum Tuesday night starts at 7:30 at Northway Church, 5915 Zebulon Road.
