Students at Bleckley County High School said math teacher, Brian Wynne, makes a difficult subject easy to understand.

Wynne was honored as this week's "My Teacher is Tops". He said he was surprised by the honor.

"I was thinking 'Oh my gosh, I hope they are not here to interview me,'" said Wynne. "I don't really consider what I do everyday to be exceptional or remarkable."

But students in his class said they respectfully disagree.

"I just feel like if he is going to put so much time and effort in teaching us and helping us through math I think that we should honor we should give him respect," said Keisonia "Kiki" Byrd of Cochran.

Some students said math wasn't their favorite subject until Wynne's class.

"I never had a problem with math but I never enjoyed it ever and he made it fun and easy to understand," said Shay Ningarnto. "I don't get frustrated when I don't understand something because I know I can just ask him."

"I didn't used to like it because I failed math last year, and I really sucked it up," said Jacob Rogers of Cochran. "But this year he's really helped me to pass it and I am passing with flying colors now."

If you have a teacher that you would like to nominate, please send a one-page, handwritten letter to: My Teacher is Tops,

Don't forget to include your name, your teacher's name and the name of your school. Remember, neatness counts.
