Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - UCLA basketball recruit Allerick Freeman has been given his release from a national letter of intent.

Freeman was recruited by former UCLA head coach Ben Howland, who was fired in March.

Freeman, a 6-foot-4 guard from Charlotte, N.C., has not decided where he will sign.
