The funeral service for a 5-year-old girl killed in a school bus accident this week will be held on Saturday.

Officials with Glover Memorial Mortuary confirmed a service will be held for Ta'Miya La'Shae Watson at Greater Zion Hill Baptist Church on Saturday at 1 p.m.

The church is located at 2656 Napier Ave. in Macon.

The service will be open to the public but that visitation hours have not been set at this time.

Ta'Miya is survived by her father, Cecil Kelsey Jr., her mother, Sharon Patrice Watson, and her brother, James Foster Jr.

The burial will be at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery.

But first, her fellow students will have a chance to remember their friend and classmate Friday, at a tribute at Barden Elementary.

That's scheduled for 2:15.

Students are encouraged to wear pink shirts, colorful or different socks, and hair bows.

Then, at 7:30 p.m. at a Candle Light Memorial,others can gather at 5487 Virginia Drive. That event is open to the public.
