A Warner Robins man is in the Bibb County jail after being arrested for shoplifting nearly $180 in King Crab legs from the Kroger on Tom Hill, Sr. Blvd.

Bibb County Sheriff's Lt. Sean Defoe says Jarodney McCoy is facing several charges after an off-duty deputy who had been shopping was toldabout a possible theft.

Defoe said the deputy shouted for McCoy to stop.The two struggled, even after theofficeridentified himself. Heeventuallymanaged to wrestle McCoy to the ground before he could leave the store, and hold him until an on-duty deputy arrived.

Officers found McCoy with four boxes of the crab legs.

McCoy is charged with probation violation, simple battery on a police officer, eluding police, disorderly conduct and theft by shoplifting.

He's being held on $3,250 bond. Defoe says at the time of his arrest, McCoy was homeless.
