A man and woman were arrested after Pop's Food Mart on North Davis Drive was robbed around 4:34 a.m. Friday, according to a release.

On the way to the scene, officers were told that a male was seen exiting the closed business and got in a vehicle with another person and left.

They were able to head off the suspects at an intersection.

After a brief struggle, officers arrested 35-year-old James Wesley Morgan and 32-year-old Lisa Marie Roberts.

Morgan is charged with burglary, fleeing or attempting to elude, open container violation in motor vehicle, remove/affixing license plate with intent to conceal, obstruction of an officer, reckless driving, and driving while license expired.

Roberts is charged with party to the crime of burglary.
