ALBANY- Howard High Schools first ever state championship was earned today by Anasterasia Terrell in the GHSA AAAA State Track championships in Albany. Terrell won with a jump of 18-10 besting other local standouts Adriunna Brown (Rutland high) who came in 2nd by one inch (18-9) and freshman Breanca Davis (Rutland High) who was 6th (17-4.25). Terrell will compete for the Triple Jump title later today, against Rutland's Tyler Ragin, and in the 100 hurdles tomorrow, she is the top seed in each event. Adriunna Brown (Rutland) will compete for titles in the 300 hurdles and 400 meters where she is the top seed in Both events. Rutland High school is currently in 2nd place as a team (11 pts) and Howard is in 3rd (10 pts).
