FORT VALLEY,GA - Thirty-five youth football players came out to the First Annual Fort Valley State Youth Football Camp.

The campers ranged in age from five to 17.

Attendees to the three day event were split into offensive and defensive groups.

They got a chance to learn from FVSU players and coaches in preparation for the upcoming football season.

"We made an affordable camp, just $30 to pay for[campers'] meals," said FVSU Head Coach Don Pittman."And we're using this camp as a community service for our student-athletes to get out and work [with]these young men."

Coach Pittman expects an even bigger turnout for next year's camp.
