The Rainbow Center is a place where people with AIDS and HIV can come to find help. But that service might be closing its doors.
When Brenda Darleyfound out she was HIV positive, she found help through the Rainbow Center, a nonprofit organization.
"There's a lot more people out there like me whose struggling to keep up because of the disease and we need help," she says.
The center provides free counseling and subsidized housing. But lack of funding might end services.
"They pretty much told everyone that they're closing their doors in October," Darley says.
Darley pulled herself out of a downward spiral, but the Rainbow Center closing triggers concern.
"It breaks my heart to know that I don't know anybody who really cares, you know? And I need this place," Brenda Darley says.
