MILLEDGEVILLE, GA-- Over 50 golfers hit the course at the Milledgeville Country Club Sunday for the final round of the Georgia State Amputee Golf Tournament. The tournament, also known as the Ray Rice Sr. Memorial, celebrated its 20th year.

"Ray Rice, he was an amputee himself. He owned an orthotic and prosthetic facility in Atlanta, Georgia," said event coordinator Bill Eason.

"Ray actually started the Georgia Amputee Golf Tournament and it was held originally in Warm Springs, Georgia. After his death the tournament kind of fell apart, nothing going on. His family decided they wanted to do something in his memory so we got together and we got to Milledgeville," explained Eason.
