KATHLEEN - We're continuing to go camping this week, making a stop at Veterans High School in Houston County. The Warhawks are entering their fourth season on the football field under head coach and athletic director David Bruce.

In 2012, the Warhawks finished 3-7, and out of playoff contention. Making the post season is a goal, Bruce wants to accomplish this year. Twenty-one seniors are leading the way for the red and white and Bruce says he is preparing his squad to focus more on consistent play on the field as well as finishing strong in the fourth quarter. With that effort, he and his players believe the team can have better success on Friday nights.

"It looks like we have a team base so we can go out and play as a team", says senior lineman, Cortez Broughton. "Because the past 3 years, we've been clicking but haven't been able to put it together. But we got it this year I believe."

Bruce also explains, "The expectations are very, very high. The kids have been in the program for 3 years. There is no mystery. I know them. They know us. They know the coaches, we know the players. There's no excuses, the bar is set high and we have to achieve those goals."

On a side note, former Perry head coach Stacy Harden is now a part of the Warhawks staff, helping out on offense. Veterans opens up with Warner Robins, August 30th in Perry.
