According to ESPN, the SEC has pulled its trademarks from the popular NCAA football series of video games.

In a statement to the press, the SEC said, "Each school makes its own individual decision regarding whether or not to license their trademarks for use in the EA Sports game(s). The Southeastern Conference has chosen not to do so moving forward."

This statement comes on the heels of a recent spat with the Collegiate Licensing Company, where EA Sports nearly lost a majority of licensing for the NCAA games.

These decisions coincide with a class-action lawsuit underway where likenesses of players were used in EA Sports games without compensation.
