LEWISBURG, W.Va. (AP) - Lewisburg police didn't have to chase down a Georgia fugitive - he was found passed out in a vehicle.

Media outlets report police were called to a service station near the Lewisburg exit off Interstate 64 on Tuesday. That's where patrolman A.L. Workman found Derrick Lyndon Kimbrell in the vehicle.

Police Chief Tim Stover says the 23-year-old Kimbrell was wanted in Bibb County, for a probation violation stemming from making terroristic threats.

Kimbrell was taken to the Southern Regional Jail and awaits extradition proceedings.

The State Department of Corrections websiteshows that Kimbrell served time in state prison for terroristic threats and acts committed in Bibb County in 2010. He was released last December.
