EAST DUBLIN - Down the road in East Dublin, the East Laurens Falcons are looking to return flight in the post season this fall.

Coach Gary Morton and the dirty birds are fresh off a scrimmage with rival West Laurens, which they lost but Morton says they gained some valuable lessons. Fifteen seniors, including 12 players with game experience are focusing on taking a step better than their 6-5 record of last year, when they take to to field Friday night.

"We have an opportunity because the biggest improvement we make will be between week one and week two, so we challenged them on that a little bit", says Morton. "The good thing is, we have a week to prepare for them, a week to correct our mistakes. We get to travel to Aquinas and they will be a playoff team. So we get to measure where we are at right now against a single A playoff team. And even though they are a private school, they are pretty good."

The Falcons travel to Augusta to take on Aquinas Friday night.
