MILLEDGEVILLE, GA-- The Baldwin Braves are trying to escape disappointing memories from 2012. The Braves went 6-5 last season, but want more.
Ten seniors return to play for fourth year head coach Dexter Copeland.
"Offensively, we'll be real good," said Copeland. "Tajea Chambers, our quarterback who threw for over 2,000 yards and ran for 1,000, is returning, as well as Kentavious Thomas, who rushed for over 1,000. We're returning 4 offensive linemen and all of our receivers. We had kind of a mediocre season last year. We went 6-5 and made the playoffs. I know for a lot of teams that's good, but we feel that was a down year and we have to regroup and get better."
Baldwin starts the season at home against Jefferson County on August 30.
