Happy Wyatt came into our studio this morning to show us how to make Crock Pot French Toast and Shrimp& grits.
Try out these recipes below, you won't be disappointed.
Crock Pot French Toast:
1 Loaf bread (french or sour dough)
2 1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Filler and Topping
1/2 cup butter- softened
3/4 cup brown sugar-packed
1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup nuts
Mix toppings and set aside.
Spray inside of crock-pot with cooking spray.
Whisk eggs, milk, and cinnamon and set aside.
Layer 1/2 of bread in crock-pot.
Mix 1/2 topping over this.
Place remainder of bread on top.
place egg mixture over bread and top with remaining topping.
Bake 2.5 hours on high or low overnight.
Shrimp and Grits
1 cup stone ground Gayla Grits
1 pound shrimp
1 pound sausage sliced
2cups chicken stock
1 cup water
1 cup whipping cream
Saute Shrimp and sausage in Dutch oven then set aside when done.
Pour all liquid into pot and add grits.
Cover and turn on low to simmer.
Add sausage and shrimp back to pot and warm.
Stir when needed. Top with shredded cheese, diced scallions, or brown gravy
