SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) - The Georgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission is hosting a meeting in Savannah to discuss updated regulations meant to protect soil and water near urban development sites.
The list of regulations, called the "Manual for Erosion and Sediment Control in Georgia" will be the topic of discussion at the commission's meeting at the Costal Georgia Center on Nov. 13.
Officials say they're presenting changes to the manual to the public, and similar meetings have been held in Columbus and Cartersville. Officials say another meeting on the topic is scheduled for Nov. 18 in Atlanta.
