ROSWELL, Ga. (AP) - Police in suburban Atlanta say the bodies of a missing boy and his father have been recovered.
Roswell police spokeswoman Lisa Holland told WXIA-TV that 4-year-old Jesus Dominguez appears to have been slain in a murder-suicide after being taken from home Thursday afternoon. Holland says the boy's father, Carlos Dominguez, was also found dead.
Police Chief Rusty Grant told WGCL-TV their bodies were found behind an apartment complex.
Police found the boy's mother unresponsive Thursday and said she had been badly beaten. Grant says the woman suffered facial injuries and may have been choked.
Investigators say they're waiting for the woman's condition to improve so they can gather details on the circumstances that led to the attack.
