ROCKDALE COUNTY (WXIA) -- One of the Rockdale County twins accused of killing their mom pleaded guilty Thursday.
Tasmiyah Whitehead entered a guilty plea for voluntary manslaughter, falsification of a government matter and possession of a knife in the commission of a crime.
The judge called this a "tragedy of epic proportions" and sentenced Whithead to 30 years, with 20 to serve given credit for time in jail.
Whitehead's sister Jasmiyah is set to be tried in March.
The twins, who were then 16, were arrested in May 2010 for stabbing their mom to death.
