The Macon-Bibb Commission voted unanimously to approve a contract for a new state-of-the-art animal welfare center on Fulton Mill Road.

Despite the contract with International City Builders of Warner Robins clocking in half a million dollars over budget, the new government decided to move forward with the project.

The new animal shelter is funded by the SPLOST.
