ATLANTA (AP) - Atlanta police say a 15-year-old boy who was found with bullets at a high school is facing criminal charges.
Department spokeswoman Kim Jones says police were called to Washington High School Wednesday and the teen tried passing a bag containing 16 9mm bullets to another student in the hallway when authorities were him to the principal's office.
Police say an officer confiscated the bullets and the school was locked down in case a weapon was found on campus. Jones says a weapon was not recovered.
The teen has been charged with terroristic threats and disorderly conduct in schools. Jones says the boy has been taken to the Metro Regional Youth Detention Center. His identity hasn't been released.
